Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh, ground pork sausage
  • 3 tablespoons minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup cheese sauce
  • 16 ounces rye bread, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until it is browned through. Add onion, garlic powder, black pepper and cheese sauce and stir until the cheese is melted.
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon of the sausage and cheese mixture onto each slice of rye bread.
  3. Serve warm.
