- 1 pound fresh, ground pork sausage
- 3 tablespoons minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup cheese sauce
- 16 ounces rye bread, sliced
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until it is browned through. Add onion, garlic powder, black pepper and cheese sauce and stir until the cheese is melted.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of the sausage and cheese mixture onto each slice of rye bread.
- Serve warm.
